Help Desk Support

Help Desk Support sought for fast-paced, dynamic San Diego-based real estate and operations firm. The ideal candidate will thrive managing multiple matters simultaneously while also supporting other complex, long-term projects. The Junior IT Systems Administrator is a new role with Pacifica Companies and will play a critical role in supporting our physical and remote based users. This position is currently part time (20 hours per week) with an opportunity for growth. The right candidate will be a self- starter, and adamant problem solver with attention to detail.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Set up new users within the Active Directory
  • Archive mailboxes and users in the Active Directory
  • Audit the current Active Directory to ensure current and active user base
  • Create distribution groups
  • Resolve general Help Desk tickets
  • Work with third party IT management group to escalate tickets that are too complex or broad scope
  • Communicate with end-users to clarify issues and ultimately provide stellar support and solve IT related problems
  • Setup hardware and software for new users
  • Inventory IT equipment (computers, monitors, screens etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a must
  • Must be familiar with standard Microsoft licensing and applications, primarily Outlook. Familiarity with Office 365 a plus


  • 1-2 years of troubleshooting enterprise level IT issues.


  • Working knowledge of general IT infrastructure and Local Area Networks (LANs)
  • Familiarity with best practices for managing Active Directories, distribution groups and user setups
  • Understanding of Microsoft Applications and common end-user technical issues and complaints
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
